Introducing Cheryl Whiting AREINZ
With over 34 years' experience and a track record of outstanding results. Cheryl is no stranger to the complexities of New Zealand's real estate industry. Beginning her Real Estate career at Challenge Real Estate in Remuera in 1987, she quickly developed a passion for selling property and an intense motivation to achieve the very best results for her clients. This led her to purchase the Challenge Remuera franchise in 1993, where she continued as the Owner/ Director when the Challenge Group was purchased by LJ Hooker in 1997.

Over the next few years, Cheryl worked hard to build up the business and the LJ Hooker brand in the Eastern Suburbs and gained a solid reputation as a standout performer in the industry. Her passion, dedication and professionalism saw her named number 1 salesperson in New Zealand for the Company for three consecutive years, and number 1 in the country for Marketing Excellence from 1990-2000. She claimed the top position for most auctions listed and sold in New Zealand in 1993 and was a finalist for Auckland District Salesperson of the year in 1993 and 1994.
After selling LJ Hooker Remuera in 2001, Cheryl started the first Premium Real Estate franchise south of the Harbour Bridge, based in Parnell. Once again, her hard work and tenacity enabled her to grow the franchise and further her reputation as one of the best in the business.
In 2007, she sold the Premium franchise and began her seven-year long career with reputable family real estate company, Barfoot & Thompson, as Manager of their Parnell branch. During this time Cheryl developed and fostered a strong, loyal and successful team, and under her leadership, the branch thrived.
In the next 4 years, Cheryl was offered the role of the Sales and Marketing Manager and Licensee for Southpark Property Ltd building and managing the team at the Development, Kensington Park Orewa. Cheryl then returned to Barfoot & Thompson and completed a 6-month contract with the project team at the Head Office.
For the last twenty-three years Cheryl has been a volunteer fundraiser on the Mercy Hospice Auckland fundraising committee.
She really enjoys working with an amazing group of fundraisers These same women together have created a charitable trust, of which Cheryl is one of the trustee.
We have the blessing of the board from Mercy Hospice, to raise much needed funds for Mercy Auckland and we are known as
‘Friends of Mercy’.
Cheryl lives her life to the full, loves her family & friends and whether it's work or leisure she puts 100% into all she does. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and her commitment and drive obvious to all those she deals with and who know her.
In her role at Ray White, Cheryl is excited to have gone back to her roots, selling real estate in the Eastern Suburbs of Auckland. Bringing all of her skills into play - from her experience in the real estate industry and her passion for property to her sales skills, negotiation expertise and flair for marketing.
